This being the very first session -there was no rule yet that no member could come from the same band. Michael Perry and Scott Humphreys are both in a Seattle band call Seattle Doom Quintet. Michael Perry now also plays saxophone in Doom Squad. Scott Humphreys also plays bass in Octopus Attacks Shark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I wanted to do a project as a three piece with an organ bass and drums – Scott agreed, even though he is mainly a pianist and doesn’t really play the organ.
I hadn’t realized until afterward that Michael had never been in a band that played the same songs – SDQ is an improv band, and here he was learning 6 songs for a performance in roughly 14 hours over 4 days! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ground breaking session had many hiccups and a lot of figuring things out as we went but the live session was super fun and we ended up with some great music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
